Rule Ernst has a passion for good wines and the good memories she has built over years exploring several wine lands in South Africa. Coupled with her warm personality and sense for business opportunities Rule wanted to share these experiences with the people in North West. What was a dream turned into a fully fletched wine tasting annual event “Wil’de’Wyn.”
Several hand-picked wine farms are invited to display and sell their wines right here in the heart of the North West at Bona Bona Game lodge. The first Wil’de’Wyn was hosted on 17 March 2018 and is today one of the most popular events on the social calendar of many persons not only form North West but from as far as Gauteng and the Free state.
The festival hosts 450 guests each year with 25 wine farms participating and is still growing rapidly.
Guests can taste a variety of hand-picked wines from different wine regions while enjoying live entertainment and delicious food. The atmosphere is festive and the surroundings of Bona Bona Game farm makes this a unique experience not to miss.
